About Us

Unity:  The state of being united or joined as a whole.

Unity was established in 1989 when I was an Airman in the United States Military.  As I served my country, I was struck by the level of disunity throughout humanity and how Unity could be a catalyst to solving many unnecessary conflicts and conditions. 

I was inspired to use clothing to make a statement and bring awareness to the need for Unity throughout humanity.  So I designed some unique T-shirts and shorts and started selling them out of the trunk of my car, at festivals, vending events and in stores from Philadelphia to Washington D.C. We have evolved and will continue to develop new outlets to get our message and clothing to you. 

Unity is a socially conscience apparel brand that believes focusing on our common humanity is the key to achieving Unity in every commUNITY.  However, Unity is more than a brand; we are a cause.  We envision a world where humanity achieves its greatest potential by coming together as a COMMUNITY.  In this state we coexist harmoniously, solve challenges for the collective good and live in peace.
